Directions to the Lostwithiel Community Centre, Lostwithiel, Cornwall

 

Approaching from Liskeard on the A390 – as you come into the town you go over a bridge which crosses the River Fowey.  A large Playing Field runs alongside the river on your left.  The Community Centre is located between the road and the Playing Field opposite the road signposted to Restormel Castle.

 

Approaching from St Austell on the A390 – you will come into the town down a steep hill (with a small escape lane at the side), drive through the town past the pelican crossing and then the Royal Talbot Hotel on your left.  About 100 yards past the Royal Talbot Hotel, on the right hand side is the entrance to the Community Centre.  Opposite the Community Centre entrance is the road to Restormel Castle.

 

Approaching from Bodmin – take the B3268 from Bodmin and follow the signs to Lostwithiel.  Turn left at Sweetshouse and carry on this road until you come into Lostwithiel passing a new housing estate on your right – (the road is narrow but can easily take two vehicles).  Turn left and you are now on the A390, drive through the town past the pelican crossing and then the Royal Talbot Hotel on your left.  About 100 yards past the Royal Talbot Hotel, on the right hand side is the entrance to the Community Centre.  Opposite the Community Centre entrance is the road to Restormel Castle.  Alternatively take the B3268 from Bodmin and stay on the road (passing through Sweetshouse), until you reach a junction with the A390 (Pelyn Vetinary Practice is on your right as you approach the junction), turn left and then follow the instructions above as for St Austell.

 

Richard will be busy very early in the morning putting up direction signs so you should have no problem finding the Community Centre !!!  The postcode for The Community Centre is PL22 0HE if you need it for satnav

 

Opening Times

The show is advertised as open from 10.00a.m – 4.00p.m.   The FREE prize draw will take place at 3.45p.m.  The winner of the Visitors Choice Bear will be announced after the prize draw has taken place.

 

Catering

 

The Community Centre offers very good reasonably priced catering facilities with a range of hot and cold meals throughout the day.  There are pubs and cafés in the town that offer great meals - why not try The Globe Inn, or The Duchy Coffee Shop (opposite the church), or the Grapevine - all serve good food at reasonable prices.
